In this year's edition, NBA 2K22 MT added all 30 teams the public address announcers' voices in the game. It's amazing to hear Mavericks PA announcer Sean Heath during the gameplay. Fans will feel as if they're at the American Airlines Center watching the Mavericks play.
MyCareer's mode has completely changed the storyline that was introduced in the previous year's game. Players are given three options to start their careers. They could go to colleges, move to the G League, or jump directly into an NBA draft. I chose on the G League route because I wanted to know if it would let me choose between any from the G League franchises. The problem is that you're automatically assigned by default to join the G League Ignite team by default.
I'm a bit surprised that they chose to make the City their primary hub for the career mode this year given criticisms NBA 2K got from players last year. Perhaps, they couldn't come up with another concept to host the hub in this season and decided to go with the City once again.
Fans can visit the different stores and buy apparel for your players. There are new clothing brands this season so be sure to check out for their new items. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to play the game due to a glitch with the PS5 version and therefore I'm not able to discuss in depth what's new in the game mode.
NBA 2K22 is a very well-constructed video game in general and past games have been. I'm convinced that PS5 as well as Xbox Series X owners should absolutely get the game due to the improved graphics and the brand-new My Player mode story alone.
If fans have a PS4 or Xbox One though, I would pass on the game this year. The PS4 version looks like they took last year's game as a template and copied the game. If you're a fan of the game and have a PS4 or Xbox One, by all means get the game, but it looks like they didn't bother trying to improve anything to work with older consoles.
If gamers want to purchase the game for Nintendo Switch, I would suggest waiting. Nintendo Switch, I would put off buying the game until it goes on sale at retailers or the Nintendo E-Shop. It was great to get to see Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki on the cover. Hopefully, Dallas Mavericks fans enjoy the game. Feel at ease to leave your comments about NBA 2K22 MT in the comments below.
